Series BS EKT EI 60 - EI 120 Rolling Fire Doors
CE Marked
Technical Characteristics
In accordance with the EN 16034:2014 EN 13241:2003 + A2:2016 standards.
The door consists of a perimeter structure on three sides in 20/10-thick galvanized steel profile; the two vertical uprights each incorporate the guide of the fire curtain; the upper crosspiece, together with its casing, contains the motorized upper roller for the collection of the frame constituting the closure. The entire structure is protected by a covering consisting of a plasterboard sheet.
The roller door is made up of a curtain which is formed by a double layer of fiberglass fabric reinforced by a stainless-steel mesh, covered on the outside with a layer of light grey silicone.
The fire curtain is quilted for the distributed containment of an insulating mat made from natural fibres.
For everyday use, the door is opened by a tubular motor contained in the upper roller, or in the case of large doors, by an external gearmotor. The door closes by gravity using a counterweight distributed along the lower edge of the door. The opening and closing speed in this case is 8-12 cm/s.
In the event of an alarm, the door closes by gravity, using the same counterweight, which if suitably sized, even in the absence of electrical power, guarantees controlled closing at an emergency speed of 12-20 cm/s.
As an integral part of the fire safety system, the door is provided with a control panel, equipped with free contacts for signalling “door open”, “door closed”, and “alarm”, which can be interfaced with the existing fire safety system.
Technical data of the control panel:
- Power supply 230V 50Hz.
- Protection class IP44.
- Technical data of the motors:
- Tubular motor incorporated in the roller: 430W.
- External gearmotor for doors with a surface area greater than 35 m2: 0.3Kw.
- Additional accessories supplied:
- Wall-mounted keypad for the opening – closing control.
- Buffer battery capable of guaranteeing an autonomy of 8 hours for keeping the door open.

The door consists of a perimeter structure on three sides in 20/10-thick galvanized steel profile; the two vertical uprights each incorporate the double guide of the fire-rated cloaks; the upper crosspiece, together with its casing, contains the two motorized upper rollers for the collection of the two cloaks constituting the closure. The entire structure is protected by a covering consisting of two overlapping plasterboard sheets.
